what I like about Pro-Life is the name, they've hijacked something good for something evil, a bit like Hitler's slogans, It's so nice and innocent it could be a little helpful product like Tampons, or a pick-you-up-pill... these nutters, these zealots who wish to strip women of their choices over their own bodies would have all woman in a Republican rally tent somewhere in Indiana, locked up with chastity belts, then if a bit of sperm happens to sliver under the door up their thingy (I'm making this sound even more disgusting than it is), then they'll be held in solitary until the baby can be sucked out under force... whether there's life at conception or not, it is still the personal jurisdiction of women to make up their own minds, that's about all we have left as BB gradually fills up ever part of our lives... I certainly won't be told by some coiffured old bag in Connecticut whether I can have an abortion or not (I may be exaggerating here since I live in East-Sussex, but you get the point!) ... so 'Pro-Life', your'e not Pro-Life', your'e anti life, , so **** John McCain and his bunch of ultra conservative Pro-War, anti-life bigots, leave our language alone..

I watched a bit of Madonna's Lovely Lady Tour last night (actually I don't know what it was called, but it was on one of those channel thingy's whilst I was 'flipping'), you gotta give it to her, she really 'goes', the outfits the dancing and production we're unbelievable good... she's got no soul , but that was never her thing was it?... I can barely dance for more than about 30 seconds without feeling faint and throwing up - go Madonna!

Spot the difference... I was just reading the story about Beyonce and her lovely skin shocker,,, well you know she can do anything with her skin , its a free world, Michael J's done it... not exactly hugely important news is it? but you do wonder what they are thinking of, using a black girl to sell white make-up and hair stuff... is there the presumption that black want to all look like whites, or the other way round... the whiteifying of soul music in this country is making my ******' puke, you can stick Adele and ******' Duffy up yer arse as far as I'm concerned, why listen to that puerile crap when you can listen to the real thing... as for Beyonce, ofcourse its always just about money, but she's hardly doing much for African Americans on the day when I hear that soon white Americans will be overtaken in populus by ethnic Americans.. L'Oreal are having a ******' joke aren't they ? If white's went round trying to look like blacks in adverts people would be peeing there pants with laughter, so why does it work the other way round - do these people know how ridiculous they are making themselves look for another few million quid in their bank accounts?, if they we're going straight out to Africa to give it to Aids orphans there might be some point, but from where I'm standing there's no point in Beyonce and the plastic turd she seems to be wearing on her head in this advert..

Georgia on my mind!

as news comes through of Russia battering Georgia from all sides I thought I would include today my fave holiday snaps from my time in Tbilisi !! ... yes, I like to holiday in war zones of the world!! also I've been to Beirut (don't ask!).. nice snaps, wonderful place,,, you get the feeling you are going back in time, and you get the feeling you are going in to some sort of bandit country... typical of the place is that there is a fantastically new Motorway from the Airport built for the George Bush visit (1995 ?),, quite likely with American money, then arriving in the middle of the night I could see people along it and realised that it was little old ladies sweeping it with old fashioned brushes... then long queues of cars, asking the taxi driver he told me they we're taxis waiting at petrol stations in the middle of the night because of fuel shortages... I don't know why I found it weird, that's what the UK will be like before long, along with horse & carts back on the roads..

its just typical of the British (maybe I should leave the Scottish out of this though, as you can't really count them as truly British can you ??), first thing I see this-morning on the webular is 'our ten worst ever Olympians!'... ******'n great,,, that's the attitude,... don't bother 'bigging up' the brilliant athletes who are out there right now, don't bother publicising the fantastic achievements of winners, and participants... lets have a ******' joke about the ones who have lost,, ha ha ******' ha, that's ******' hilarious,,, along with Big Brother and Gwok ******' fashion Guru we've turned in to a bunch of lazy fat downers who get more entertainment out of who is going to lose... there should be a law made against this.. I for one am very excited, despite the controversy, human rights abuses, smog, no Robert Mugabe at the opening ceremony, and Sarah Brightman singing the introduction theme song... when the clouds lift the building is amazing, the athletes are an inspiration and I'm bigging it up,,, even for the losers, just one minute out there is a huge achievement so go eeeerrr Englerland

WERNER HERZOG

I'm sure Werner's not really bothered, (whether I like them or not),,, he is doing his thing, he is the type of director who would be piling his own drilling bit into the ground in search of Oil even if he knew none existed, just to see the metal go in to the earth.. its hard to believe the budget (or lack of it) on these movies... I like the story about how he had 1000 pigs in the mountains in Aguirre, but he had to ditch the shot because they we're all suffering mountain sickness.... he's been shot at, had physical altercations with Kinski, so on... what has really struck me about this Werner Herzog box set is the quality of the filming and the music... there is nothing of low buget about it, everything becomes apparent, slowly unfolding, the dialogue is cut to the bone, everything in Kinski's on-screen brooding.. beautifully shot, brilliantly acted - absolute genius.. extraordinary stuff... I'd like to think of a musical equivalent of Herzog, but its hard to imagine... I'd be deluded to think I could achieve 1 nonosecond of what he has achieved, literally laying his life on the line for his art... all you can do is try..

pistols at dawn , OR , EERRRRR ,, teatime

I went to uTube.con today, actually just to look at my own vidj's, and was quite surprised to see how many people have viewed them, am I being paid for that ??? I will of course be writing to uTube.con to ask for my monies,,, but in the meantime I had a quick looksie at a couple of other band thingies, like some classic Jesus & Mary Chain vidj's, and I was shocked at the comments... People are so rude and ignorant and negative, I was amazed, some of them I couldn't even understand, the grammar, and spelling were so dismal... are all these things being watched by 10 year olds and they think these are new bands??... well , even if they thought that, these would still be cutting edge works compared with the constant repetitive drivel trotted out by MTV , and all the other vidj stations, so glossy, touched up, and meaningless you may as well be watching Porn... I have stopped any comments on mine, as , what's the point ??,, you get a 5 year old watching the vidj, they won't understand music that I made for the over 30's, or visuals I made for the those more likely to be watching Herzog than Wall-e... all-in-all , I was pretty disgusted that uTube.con allow this sort of stuff to go on... its easy to slag stuff, especially when you aren't doing anything creative or interesting in your own life, at least I can say I am making music / visuals, and competing in some way... why do people comment, why not just move on to something they like ??!

Even more surprising was seeing John Lydon on the teatime MOR show 'One Show' yesterday evening, the Irony of the situation seemed to be lost on all present, even maybe Johnny, although he was as cutting and intelligible, as well as quick witted as ever,.... His world-wide infamy brought to prominence by the (at-the-time) outrageous behaviour on teatime show leading to the fall of Bill Grundy,,, and now Johnny the pillar of teatime viewing (although it was a little bit spiky)... Steve Jones c'mon we need a new anchor for Newsnight..
